Has anyone else heard anything about Peter Jackson supposedly working on a script for the Akallabêth (Downfall of Númenor) for a future film? It would be awesome if it were true, but is it? I'd actually prefer that to him doing the Hobbit. I'd also love him to take on the Tale of Beren and Lúthien. A girl can dream.

I'm torn at the notion of him handling The Hobbit because of the way he treated both hobbits and dwarfs in the movies. OTOH, he did a beautiful job on the Shire at the beginning. That's got to be my favorite part of the three.
