ithildin: (Methos - Regret)
I was talking earlier tonight about....

Methos at Joe's grave, and I'm still sorting through umpteen caps, but I wanted to share these at least tonight:

See what I mean? Why didn't we get to be with Methos during that scene instead of it being wasted as a background shot? Bastards.

I'll try and put some more caps up tomorrow after I've winnowed them down.

I've wondered that as well. There are many possibilities there. If Methos regains his Immortality (or even if he doesn't) and the Elder did not get release, surely he can take the man's head? If the Elder really wants release all that needs to be done is to take him off holy ground and remove his head from his neck. It seems to me he couldn't stop someone if they tried to do so. If Methos is mortal they don't even have to take him off holy ground as Horton hacked Darius on holy ground with no repercussions.

It also begs the question: what about Duncan and Methos since they had a "dual quickening?" Are they connected in a way similar to the Guardian and the Elder? Was that a deliberate juxtaposition on the part of one of the script authors at some point that got buried in translation? Will Methos be bound to Duncan all of his days and share Duncan's fate?

This movie, start to finish, raises so many questions and answers absolutely none. Crazy.

Hmmm. True.

If the Elder wanted it, and even if he doesn't, then yeah.

But what would happen to Methos.

Mortal Methos:
No problems either way I don't think.

Immortal Methos:
I think I might be afraid of what happend here if Methos got The Elder's quickiening. He might just turn into some version of The Elder or something bad could happen. However something bad might not happen.

But would the connection between The Guardian and The Elder transfer over the quickening to Methos? Would then they be bound together?

Or maybe the connection between Mac and Methos wouldn't make that possible.

I wish they had gone into the shared quickening more between Duncan and Methos. They didn't unfortunatly, but since they made the effort to show us that they shared a quickening, something should have come from it.

And honestly. I think the shared quickening between Mac and Methos threw out the "one" in the whole "There can be only one" thing.

But what was Duncan's fate? I know what the outline epilogue says but they don't show us here. They have a kid yes but what else.

But yeah. Good questions. And your right. Way to many questions than answers in this movie.
