ithildin | You Can Call Me Ith

I've seen people around explaining their LJ ID. So since I appear to have nothing better to do currently, I'll explain mine! (try and contain your excitement) Ithidrial is Elvish from the Lord of the Rings, and is my backup name, one I actually created for a fic I write in my head to entertain myself when I'm bored (there's the LotR one and the Stargate/Highlander/Pirates of the Caribbean one) (does anyone else 'write' mental fic?). My real online identity is Ithildin, which I've been since 1995, and before the Lord of the Rings movies came out, no one else was ever Ithildin but me! Of course, that's no longer true -- and it vexes us, precious, it does! -- so I usually have to have a fallback position, and that's Ithidrial. Since most of my friends call me 'Ith' it has the most important component :) I prefer it to being Ithildin482 or some such. I don't like being a number. Go figure. So there you have it. Thrilling, no?
