Don't You Dare Laugh! II

“Bullets.”

“Bullets? Was there some sort of firearm involved, or just bullets?” Methos asked wryly.

Annabeth punched his shoulder. “Chicago, 1924, gunned down at a speakeasy, okay?”

“Gangster’s moll, hmm?”

Sighing, she pushed herself up, sitting against the headboard. “Taking out the garbage.”

“Such a delightful gangster euphemism.”

“No, I was taking out the damn garbage! Sometimes I served drinks, but mostly I was the cleaning woman after closing. “

“So you took out the garbage and…?”

“Walked right into the middle of a gangland shootout.”

His laughter could be heard through the pillow as she tried to smother him.

Methos is very very bad, and aren't we all glad he is.

Very cute story.

Only, why are they talking in bed? Annabeth needs some remedial courses if she can't figure out something better to do in bed.

Because she needed to be somewhere with no clothes on so he could be running his fingers down the scar. Bed seemed the most obvious and required the least amount of explanation when the drabble has to be exactly 100 words. But feel free to mentally move the location if it works better for you.

Nope, bed works fine. Just if it was me (hey, one can dream), I would be using my own fingers and mouth to do some exploring not gabbing away if I was in bed with Methos.

But it really was a cute story. And I suppose they could be resting between rounds.
