I got an email touting the new fall, must have fashion trend, coated denim. I had no idea what this was. Turns out, it's jeans coated with some sort of resin to make them look like leather. Though they don't look it, supposedly, it's breathable. They look uncomfortable to me, not to mention expensive. I also discovered in the course of my research, that stirrup pants are back, though they seem to be part of the coated denim thing.

I knew this was going to happen eventually. The 80's are back. Ugh, I thought they had some of the worst styles! I just hope that they don't try to bring back shoulder pads or I might cry.

I think my colleague once bought a pair of these for 5 bucks back when we were at uni. He then proceeded to wear it to every student party because it was conveniently waterproof (and repellant). He named it Edwyn.
