Someone is killing a number of homeless people and draining their blood. Then a museum guard is killed the same way and a special artifact is stolen, a Mayan cup that Nick believes can help him become mortal again. Nick suspects that his old mentor Lacroix is in town and behind the murders. Forced into a partnership with the unbearable Detective Schanke, Nick has to face both Lacroix and the Homeless Killer while trying to protect his friends.. ~ via tv.com

I wished instead of Tracy they had introduced a young "mortal" male cop to be Nick's partner and he would fall for Nat to add some tension to the interplay between them.

But then again, Nick and Janette also had different moral codes--both were medieval Catholics, but Janette's worldview was shaped by a ruthlessly pragmatic approach. A necessary one, given her background, imo.
Nat needed a boyfriend that wasn't psycho. Seriously. I liked Tracy and the Tracy/Vachon dynamic, but wow, did they need to give Nat some focus that *wasn't* on Nick.
