Let's play another 'Ith is bored at work, so entertain her' game! (A little wordy, but I like it)
If you could convince me to read one piece of fic, what would it be, and why? It can be yours, or somebody else's, and while it would probably help convince me if I had some familiarity with the fandom, feel free to go wild and convince me to read something I don't have a single clue about! Y'all are creative that way.

It's funny. It makes gentle sport of fanfic, fan culture, slash fic, Mary Sues, and is generally a riot. In my humble opinion, at least.
Short version: Jack O'Neill, in a very slashy relationship with someone, discovers a) the Sentinel, and b) fanfic. He immediately concludes that he can do better. Hijinks, as they say, ensue.

Date: 2007-06-14 09:21 pm (UTC)From:Daniel Jackson & Jack O'Neill, Jim & Blair (The Sentinel) and Darien and Bobby (The Invisible Man) all are forced to attend a seminar "to improve interpersonal skills in military and law-enforcement personnel" and quickly become the Guys In The Back Of The Room (and solve a little mystery while they're at it). Guaranteed Not-Slash. (http://www.handbasketholidays.com/stories/actualize.htm)
