Here's a photo gallery of some of the flood yesterday. You can see the area where my family lives though it's not usually quite so wet and muddy! There's one photo of a street in La Verkin that looks like a river, and that's pretty close to what my brother described our street being like.

They get 'monsoon rains' in the desert late July/Early August. Mum says she still isn't used to that kind of rain this time of year, especially when it's 100 degrees out [g]
