There's a Tootsie Roll on Nin's side of the desk. It's calling to me. Now tell me, would it be wrong for me to eat it? I mean, it's sitting there, taunting me! And she put it there, knowing my love of the Tootsie! I think it deserves to be eaten, don't you?

I guess I'll watch General Hospital instead and try and ignore the mocking little brown thing.

Well, I'm drinking red wine, so that's keeping me from eating it. I don't think they'd go together.

It's what keeps me from snacking! Most snack foods don't go, so I rarely snack since I usually always have red wine in the evening [g]

Man, I wish I could have a glass of wine every night! :\ I know it's actually good for you... but because I'm on a diet and that's more or less drinking empty calories, I have to drink it occasionally. It's like a dessert to me. ;)

There's been a lot of recent studies that red wine contributes to losing weight. Plus it's an anti-viral, so it keeps you healthy! If I have wine, I don't snack, at all. So having a glass every night could be a good thing for you :)

:) I usually pour a glass when I get home and start dinner. It takes the edge of my hunger, so I don't eat anything till dinner is actually ready.

Het, het... I remember het. I even did a quick count of pairings in my user pics it went het - 10, slash 4. It's just Methos/Jack is my first totally lacking a single steady female presence in their lives. And, a version of Methos is part of one of my threesomes, the Grayson/TJ/Methos one. I know they both like girls as well as guys. It's just... I haven't gotten a volunteer canon or original to try to work her way into their relationship. x_x

Clutching an ice pack against my neck, drinking fruit-punch flavor Gatorade, and generally hoping to heal fast 'cause this tonsil removal stuff is a BITCH.

I'm so sorry :( Was hoping you'd avoid some of the pain with the newer procedures. Everyone makes tonsils seem so trivial, but it can be more painful than surgery on your body. It is more painful.

Now that yours are done and gone, I can tell you what happened to me.

Me, I was kept home a month prior because mine were so bad, they thought they'd burst and I'd choke to death. when they operated, they had to unhinge my jaws because turned out mine were set deep (I've had jaw problems to this day!) and then I had a rare 'complicated tonsillectomy' . They burst, and all the infection flooded my system, and they were a bitch to remove. They gave me much morphine after! Then they pumped me up with antibiotics to fight the infection, which I ended up allergic to. UGH! Took about six weeks total to get me back to school (I was 14)

I really hope you start feeling better soon!

That makes me feel SO much better - sure I have some pain, but NOTHING LIKE THAT. You should win some kind of prize for yours.

I hate people telling you horror stories before you're about to have the same thing done! So I wouldn't ever. Granted mine was 30 years ago (God, I'm old) but still!

My other horror story involves a colonoscopy, and a surgery, and waking up too soon with both. [shiver] That was recently, and probably worse than the tonsils. But I try not and think about that. And hope the next time the doctors believe me when I tell them I throw off drugs very quickly.
