Looking at old photos, and this is me and ninjababe ten years ago on the Scifi Sea Cruise with Nigel Bennett. The only reason I actually have computer copies is that my boss scanned the prints for me when I got home from my trip. Nin was a baby!!

Thankfully, I'm not that prone to flibbety [g] I'm excellent at small talk -- my one social skill. I grew up in a hotel my father was resident manager of, so we lived in. I was trotted off to cocktail parties and such from the time I was seven. So meeting guests at cons is just like that!

Unfortunately, it doesn't translate into not being shy. I have to psych myself into it. I think it must be like acting. It's like assuming a role.

There were only four or five of us that were there as FK fans, so yeah, we spent pretty much the entire cruise together. Went sightseeing, ate our meals together. The other guests were Myra Furlenn from B5 and Sylvester McCoy from Doctor Who. Nin and I became Sly's unofficial bodyguards since he had a very ardent fanboy on the ship. and it was a small ship, only 500 passengers. There were about 15 of us in the group total.

It was pretty darn funny. He'd even ask to sit between us at dinner. And 'Sly' -- not his nickname at all till Nin bestowed it. He seems to like it [g]

Nin has this thing where she tries to do bunny ears over anyone she has a photo taken with. Nigel clued into that early on, and that was his revenge [g] Absolutely cracked me up when I took the photo.

The photos are wonderful, I like them!
I've met Nigel 4 times and everytime it was a great pleasure talking to him about old and new projects. He still is a wonderful actor!
