I read 'I Shall Not Want' yesterday, the 4th book in the Clare Fergusson/Russ Van Alstyne Mysteries by Julia Spencer-Fleming. It made me cry, but didn't tear my guts out like 'All Mortal Flesh' did. It was another excellent installment and I highly recommend the series.

It's funny, becuase I always said I didn't really read mysteries, and now I find I'm following four series. Besides the Spencer-Fleming series, I read the Sano Ichiro books by Laura Joh Rowland, the Rei Shimura Mysteries by Sujata Massey, and my original foray in to mystery novels, the Adam Dalgliesh series by P. D. James

LJ is sUCH a reader's spot, and while I love to read, I rarely do, these days. My bucket list should include a long list of books, but then I'd have to make sure to live well past 100 to get through them all.

I don't read as many books as I used to :)

Rowland! I just discovered her books. I've read Massey too, but after about the third book, it got a bit stale for me.

And Dagleish was my intro to modern British mysteries. Just amazing.

I'm getting a little tired of Rei, and I'm several books behind at this point.

Have you read Margery Allingham's Albert Campion mysteries? If not, I highly recommend them, with the direction that they should be read in chronological order of when they were published.
