I did this over at
dj_aida's. Fair warning though, in a lot of cases I totally can't remember exactly when and why I friended people! I have a lousy memory [g]
Leave a comment and I'll:
1. Tell you why I friended you.
2. Associate you with something - fandom, a song, a color, a photo, a word etc.
3. Tell you something I like about you.
4. Tell you a memory I have of you.
5. Ask something I've always wanted to know about you. (To which you must respond!)
6. Tell you my favorite user pic of yours.
7. In return, you must post this in your LJ.

Crossovers!

You're eccentric and a little off, and I like that about you.
4. Tell you a memory I have of you.
The story you wrote me for my birthday with Jack and Tony!

Your 'obsession with all things Japanese'. It isn't something that leaps out on your LJ, so how so? Examples please! (being slightly obsessed on the subject myself)
6. Tell you my favorite user pic of yours.

I love Japan. I call it my alternate culture. It may have come from how I grew up, meeting many Japanese businessmen via my father's work. I've taken Japanese ans was actually quite good at it.
Have you read the Sano Ichiro novels?

Date: 2009-04-25 10:48 am (UTC)From:I've never actually met a Japanese person, at least not beyond a 'hello' when I worked in the museum. As I've said before, I do wonder if perhaps it was a previous life, it just all feels very right, and like it's my culture. *shrugs*
The failure to learn is laziness on my part, really, I start to learn with good intentions, but then I get distracted and forget stuff, and then I just give up again. I'm terrible for that. It's why I have so many hobbies, I get bored very easily and then I'm like 'ooh, shiny thing' and I'm off on the next thing *grin*
I have not read them, but having looked them up on Waterstones I shall be adding them to my reading list! :)
