...I watch Revelations 6:8, the Slinky Quickening never fails to amuse me. Talk about unintentional humour in what was supposed to be a dramatic moment.

And no matter how many times I watch the two Horsemen eps, I still come away totally ticked off at Duncan.

Some things are eternal [g]

Bits of Season 5 were actually the very first season I managed to catch in reruns, followed by Counterfeit, parts 1 and 2, and I've always loved that Quickening.

My first episode was Archangel when it originally aired, so I always thought Duncan was at least a bit nuts. Revelations 6:8 confirmed that his judgment's not the best, since Methos had obviously changed for the better after 3,000 years.

That must have been a very strange introduction to the series. I'm not sure I'd have ever watched it again if Archangel had been the first episode I watched.

It was because they mentioned that there were demons and the main character was going nuts, over on Sci-Fi Buzz that I even started watching. So I just kept expecting demons to pop up.

And waiting for Richie to become an Immortal at any second, since after season 5, I watched Counterfeit, and then seasons 1-4, followed by season 6.

I was never very attached to Richie (or Tessa, since for a little while I thought she was evil) thanks to the order I watched it in. Strangely, Archangel (I was able to quote Ahriman's speech at the racetrack for years afterwards, having only seen it once) is one of my favorite episodes--but I hate the way they messed things up in season 6.

Evil Tessa!!! I can see why you thought that though. She's one of the more interesting female characters on HL. I cried when she died.

I'm surprised you could enjoy it watching it backwards, watching a series out of order is one of my pet hates. I can't stand waiting for something I know is going to happen (like Rich becoming immortal). I run away when there's an episode of something I like on TV if I haven't watched the previous ones.

Season 6 was a mess, they had a couple of great episodes but there was no real coherence to the series.

I never got that attached to Tessa, unfortunately. Loved the music when she died, though.

I didn't have to wait too long, at least--USA Network had a marathon of every season shortly before season 6 started. So I got caught up that way.

And then, I discovered mention of the Eurominutes. I think I bought season 4 on VHS specifically so I could see the extra bit to Something Wicked, but eventually it melted in the garage. I had moved a box of videos out there for a few days, until I had more room for them.

Yes, it gets that hot here.

Agreed 100% with that. The only episodes I liked were Indiscretions, and the one with Fitz. And little bits of To Be and Not To Be. The resolution of the Ahriman saga was awful, except for the scene where Joe was tempted. That was painful, knowing it was hard on the actor.

Funny you say that. It was mine.

I thin I actually saw bits and pieces of old episodes through time, but the show never resonated with me. I was like, Meh. But the fan who got me hooked started me out with that one. Who knows why.
