I've never read an eBook, but found via one of my LJ feeds today that Harlequin sells eBooks now. Yes, every once in a while, I have the urge to read a Harlequin. So eBooks would be kind of nifty for that since when I have the urge, I can actually satisfy it. Normally I don't since by the time I ordered something, or got out to the store, the urge is gone. I think it's a familiarity thing. I used to read my grandmother's when I was little, and read them till I was a teenager. They got sidelined though in favour of science fiction.

I have seen a few theories that part of the recent popularity in ebook readers is due to women getting them so that they can read Harlequin and romance books on the train with no one being any the wiser.

You can put pdf/text/html on as well so you can just put your entire fic collection om their. this (http://www.mobileread.com/forums/) has some useful discussion of the different types of reader out there, pros/cons, availability etc if you are interested in finding out more. The nice thing about the new readers is that they are electronic paper which means they are like reading a book and not looking at a screen.

Could be, though I've always read whatever I'm reading without caring much [g] I do think if you commute/travel it sure is more convenient than books!

Yeah, one day I'll get a reader, but that is far in my bank account's future :) Thanks for the link!
