Nin came home early, so we just finished up.
Dang.
They certainly didn't pull any punches, did they? I have to say, this episode was much more emotionally affecting for me. The reality of Ianto's death, the desperation of parents trying to save their children, Frobisher killing his family then himself, and in the end, Jack sacrificing his grandson. I couldn't take my eyes off the screen for the entire hour.
Really powerful hour of television. Off the scale angst and emotion.

OR they make a special that takes place in the altverse and has Rose, The Doctor, Gwen, Owen, Tosh, Ianto working there.

Date: 2009-07-11 01:35 pm (UTC)From:As for Forbischer - why not call the wife and tell her to leave town? It was 2 hours until collection at that time -I find it hard to beleive that they couldn't have just driven away - it didn't seem that there were military outside his house yet. Me - would have gone on TV and wrecked the whole plan - screw queen and country. I hate hate hate it when characters decide that killing their families to "save" them is the only option.
