I think it was version 0.9 giving me trouble (currently using 0.8). I might just install 1.0 and see how I like it. In any case, as I have the installer for 0.8, I can still put it back on.
VLC is the only player I can cap with it. I used to have Power DVD before my hard drive crash, but didn't get that one back.
Edit: what I like with 0.8 is that I can make screencaps via the menu that appears when I right-click. With 0.9, you have to right-click, scroll down a first menu, then another. So it was much longer. I prefer right-clicking over using keyboard shortcuts.
I also don't like automated screencapping as I'm also never interested in getting a whole movie/episode, just certain scenes and/or characters.
