Good: They're building a new state liquor store in Hurricane that's due to open by Xmas! No more trekking into St. George! And even better, it's supposed to specialize in wine to cater to the tourists! WOOT!

Bad: Our truck was broken into in the wee hours of yesterday morning. Five years we live in a marginal area in Monterey with nary a problem, but it's here we get hit. Though our nearly 25 YO truck probably wasn't much of a target there amongst the Mercedes and Beemers. And they took the center console! Ripped it right out. Didn't touch the stereo. They must have thought there was something of value in the console. Boy, I bet they were disappointed - it was empty.

It may not actually be called that, but it's the thing between the front seats that opens (in some cases) and you can put stuff in it. Or use it as an arm rest.

Aaaaah! A glove compartment is usually on the passenger side, just under the dashboard - it is, funnily enough, a thing that opens and you can put stuff in it (i.e. gloves!) but I wouldn't recomment resting your arms on it!

Nope, we have a glove compartment. This is something else. In new cars, they usually have a charger inside for your cell phone, cup holders that pop out. Our was just a box with a lid. Some cars don't have them at all, especially smaller ones. Trucks usually do, as do minivans.
