War and his ring. I said to Nin, 'didn't he ever read the Lord of the Rings?' so when Dean made the crack about a side trip to Mt. Doom, I was in stitches.

If Peter Wingfield isn't cast as Death, they have no sense of whimsy.

Enjoyed the episode, especially since Ellen was back! (And I do have a thing for Dean/Ellen) Yay! And Bobby snark. And who was the guy Sam drove away with? That was oddish. Looking forward to what's to come.

One of the actual real fans [g] can fill you more than me, but it was an episode that had a flashback when they were kids. I think Bobby or John meant it for Dean, but it ended up with Sam initially. Can't recall the circumstances.

I know I'm late to the party, but ... way back when they were pretty young kids, Bobby gave the amulet to Sam with instructions to give it to his dad. But when John didn't show (again), Sam gave it to Dean. And the episode was 3x08, "A Very Supernatural Christmas".

Loved the LOTR quip. I totally said they should cast Peter as Death as we were watching too!! I'm guessing every Highlander fan went there - it's a no brainer.

THANK YOU! I have been wondering too about who Sam drove away with, and you're the only one so far to have mentioned it! It looked a little like Bobby, but couldn't have been, because if Bobby's legs aren't working, he wouldn't be driving. And as far as I know, Bobby doesn't go hunting trailing a boat.

At first I thought it must be Rufus, until I got a better look as the truck pulled away. It wasn't like he was hitching a ride, since he went straight to the truck like it was waiting for him after their 'trial separation' talk. But how could he be when they'd only decided to split right then? And it seems a little odd that Sam would arrange a ride prior even with what was on his mind before they talked. When would he have the chance?

I guess I'll chalk it up to odd editing or something, but it's those little things that always bug me! LOL
