Yes, now I've turned to fanfic thoughts in my Magnum revival.

How cool would it be to have Thomas and Jack O'Neill in the same fic? And that thought led to Magnum, now an Admiral, visiting Atlantis. Maybe his daughter is a scientist there, or a fourth generation Naval officer. Or he just goes for some official reason. Not that I'm ever going to actually write any of it, but it would be cool :)

And I need Magnum icons....

Yes, I'm still on my Magnum kick.

I didn't realize that "Did You See The Sunrise?" was the first two episodes of S3. For some reason, I thought it was much later. so I wasn't expecting it to show up so soon on the Sleuth reairings I've been watching. Damn! It's been many years since I've seen the episode, but it's still one of the best episodes of television ever. Two moments: when Mac turns the key in the ignition and the Ferarri explodes, and that last moment when Thomas asks Ivan if he saw the sunrise that morning. He replies, yes he did, then the camera pulls in close so all you see is one side of Magnum's face, and then the flash as his gun fires. I was totally shocked the first time I saw it on its first run, and it still holds a punch now, more than twenty years later.

On a related note, I was telling 'V' today at work that I realized Thomas Magnum is the man I always wanted to marry. He's funny, and annoying, compassionate and a bit dorky, a loyal friend, and an officer and a gentleman in the truest meaning of that. And yeah, he's easy on the eyes, but that really is secondary. 'V' said he could see that, and then offered to loan me his Magnum DVDs!

I was so set to write a whiny post about how crappy I felt earlier, but you won a reprieve since the medication finally kicked in and I don't feel like a misery quite as much now. Two hours ago, I was about to leave work and go home sick, but now I think I'll stick it out.

Nin's off today, so she's actually going to make me dinner! How cool is that? And it's not taco salad! Or corn bread or Chex mix. Did I miss anything? Oh, yeah, rum balls, not those either [weg]

Last night, I watched Holby, and a whole bunch of Magnum P.I. eppies. They air like four a day, so it's hard to keep up. It's been fun watching the series over again after all these years.

Sorry, still no writing done. I know, I suck. Just haven't felt motivated to write anything since I put up the last part of 'Fondly'. Not even a teensy drabble. I'd hoped to have the damn thing finished before I went to Philly, but that seems unlikely now. But I really will try to get another part done before then. Thank you all for your patience with my squirrelly fic writing habits. I hope, in the end, it will have been worth it. At least a bitty bit :)

Must get more tea now.
