My former boss dubbed us 'heterosexual life partners' (apparently it's a reference to Silent Bob and somebody movies - can't remember)and that's a fairly accurate description :)

We've lived together for 12 odd years, share a checking account, vacations, friends, all that stuff. We just happen to like men. But nothing's perfect!

We met via Forever Knight fandom in 1996 via the FK IRC channel, and she moved in late that year. We aren't related, though my mum considers her her daughter and she's a member of our family and always will be.

Kiss: Glorfindel from Lord of the Rings. Yes, I'm going obscure here. (He did in the book what they had Arwen do in the movie, rescue Frodo from the Black Riders)I just always had a crush on him.

Absolutely, and yes, I have thought about it. I'd especially like to adopt a girl from China where girls are routinely abandoned, if not killed outright due to the one child policy. It's an issue I've always been passionate about and made me realize very early on how fortunate I am to be a female here.

[ponders] Can't think of anything offhand. I rarely have the urge to write fic in a new fandom. I suppose 'House' for a while in the beginning, but the medical aspect kept me from it. So he ended up just getting a cameo in a Highlander fic :)

It's Denise, but I tend to think of myself as Ith these days -- even my brother has started using it.

My parents are Canadian, my grandparents/aunts/uncles British, and I lived part of my life in British Columbia.
