Getting There
Mar. 6th, 2011 12:15 pmWe're making a concerted effort to catch up with SPN since we heard the newest, or a newer ep, is something we really are curious to see. So now we only have four left! That as close as we've been since the season started.
In other TV news, new Army Wives starts tonight (have full box of tissue standing by)! And there's Amazing Race. And hopefully, it won't be mostly all repeats next week again, but I won't know till I see them - or not - on the DVR. I really don't keep track anymore, and there's really nothing on currently that I'm fannishly devoted to that I haunt the listings. Not that I don't wish there was something out there.

Weekend Roundup
Jun. 29th, 2009 12:47 pmIt was actually a fairly busy weekend. I was very creative, writing and posting a spackle fic, and doing a few sets of 'Make It Or Break It' icons. As far as food, for dinner Sat. night, I made Navajo tacos with homemade fry bread, which everyone really seemed to like. There was enough of it we ate it for dinner last night as well.
TV, lots and lots of TV! I recently discovered
ninjababe had never seen 'Aliens', and it was on AMC last night, so I made her watch it with me [g] I think she enjoyed it. I love that movie and am surprised I don't own it on DVD. Once that was done, we watched 'Army Wives' and 'Next Food Network Star', and then checked out 'What do You Do With A Problem Like Maria?'. BBCA has just started airing it, and I remember my UK flistees talking about it last year, so we decided to give it a whirl. Wow! Lots and lots of Torchwood promos during the two hours it was on.
Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Summer Viewing
Jun. 26th, 2009 03:40 pmTV this summer is....
Burn Notice! It's still made of awesome! I particularly liked last night's.
Army Wives: Still making me cry [g]
Next Food Network Star: Because Bobby Flay is really hot in those beautiful suits he wears. Yes, I'm shallow.
Make It Or Break It: New to the summer viewing list. This is Anthony Starke's new series about gymnastics. Very much enjoyed the pilot and looking forward to seeing how the show develops. And Tony is very cute and evil in it - nice combo there!
Psych: We've never watched it before, so we got the first season on DVD and I think we're about halfway through now. Not sure I get the Lassiter love, gals, but we're enjoying the show :)
Still to come, Leverage! Can't wait! Have the S1 DVDs on preorder, so looking forward to a marathon and making my mum watch. We have her watching S1 Burn notice currently.

This Is Why
Jun. 22nd, 2008 09:15 pmThis is why I always keep a little pile of tissues next to me when I watch Army Wives. I used every single one. Now I'm all stuffed up. I so love this show! I need to find a comm that suits.

Doctor Who & Army Wives
Jun. 15th, 2008 11:58 amYeah, two shows you don't usually see in the same sentence [g] But two shows we're now caught up on!
Army Wives: I remembered all over again why I adore this show. Nin and I were discussing it, and one of the main reasons is that it's a show that portrays real and positive friendships between women. Any show that does that is going to get major brownie points from me. And beyond that, it's just a well written, well acted show with characters you'd like to know in RL. I think I'm going to have to get S1 on DVD.
Doctor Who: loved both 'Forest' and 'Midnight', and then... ( Spoilers for the eps and the preview for next week's... )
