A More Permanent Hell

Yesterday's project was redoing my fic tags, and LJ does not make it easy to do bulk tag changing. They need a merge function! And I need to remember to read over my tags more often, because I come across ones I forgot I used before, so end up with several tags for pretty much the same subject.

We were up past 3am watching RotK, and I went to sleep all stuffed up from crying. you'd think as many times as I've read the books and seen the movies, the end wouldn't still turn me into a weeping puddle. But it does.

Waiting for Nin to get up so we can decide what we're doing today. I'm thinking building shelves, giving the dog a much needed bath, and weedwhaking my back patio area. Hopefully, in the early part of the evening we can take the bikes out for a spin.

Must do a TV post soonish. Realized I haven't talked about Chuck and Friday Night Lights, both of which were great.

Oh, and speaking of TV, see my new default icon of Adam Cartwright? It was made for me by the very sweet and talented bookaddict43. She made me four, and they're all awesome! Thank you!

I did actually write about a page of my story for holbycitylounge last night/this morning. I might have written more, but it was 230am, and ninjababe had come home from work, so I figured it was time for bed and she would want the computer.

I think it's okay, though it was much, I don't know... darker? in my brain than how it's coming out on the screen. I think I liked it better when it was darker, but I can't force it. It will be what it will be. No idea if I will be able to finish it by Wednesday's deadline, but that's what extensions are for, right? Well, that, and making your hair longer.

When Nin gets up, I need to clean the kitchen, put laundry away, think about what we're going to do for dinner. I'm thinking some sort of French Toast. I have a recipe for Pain Perdu I'm quite fond of, so maybe I'll make that. Assuming I have almonds in the cupboard.

Then I'm going to make her watch The Source. I believe in sharing the pain. Yes, I'm evil.

And now, I'm procrastinating. Okay, off to try and wrote some more. But more tea first.

waiting for 24 to start.

Yummy new drink: Drambuie and soda with lime. My usual poison is a Rusty Nail, which is Drambuie and Scotch, but I wanted to try something a little lighter tonight. This is nice, though I think it might work better when I wasn't so frickin cold!

A few eps of Enterprise: nice seeing the eps I missed and dealing with the breeding plot bunnies.

Fic: I really need to start writing again. Too much time spent making icons. It would also help to decide which story I want to write first. Maybe I should take a poll...

Weather: have I mentioned I haven't been warm in days? Probably several times.

TV: new Holby City tomorrow! Wheee! I wonder when we'll hit Danless episodes? I would think in the next several weeks.

From Sharon, a copy of Desolation Island (I can't wait to read it). From Roberta, plates and a serving bowl to go with my stoneware, from Nin, two tops (one of which was huge on me, but fit her perfectly, so I gave it to her) and a book, and from my mum and brother some money towards our laptop fund.
